The cold front has moved to the east of Louisiana and we will start to dry out today. Expect some clouds to linger over the area, so we will have a mix of sun and clouds. It will be mild with highs in the mid 60s. Tonight will be partly cloudy with some patchy fog. It will be cooler with lows in the 40s north and 50s south of the lake.
More clouds will stay over us on Wednesday making it mostly cloudy. It will be mild with highs in the upper 60s. The weather will start to change on Wednesday Night as a cold front moves toward New Orleans. It will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows will be in the 50s.
The cold front will move through during the morning on Thursday. This cold front will have MUCH COLDER air behind it as the air mass originates from Northern Canada. We will be mostly cloudy with spotty showers in the morning. Then it will become mostly clear during the afternoon. High temperatures will occur early in the day in the mid 50s, but they will fall into the 40s during the afternoon. It will be breezy behind the front, so it will feel like the 40s all day.
Thursday Night will become very cold, clear and breezy. Lows will be in the upper 20s north with feel like temperatures in the teens to 20s. You will need to protect plants, pets and people. South of the lake we will fall into the mid 30s, so protect plants, pets and people too.
We will not warm up much on Friday. It will be sunny and brisk with highs in the upper 40s, and feel like temperatures in the 30s to 40s. Friday Night will be clear and calm with some patchy frost and a light freeze possible north of the lake. Lows will be in the upper 20s. South of the lake we could have some frost with lows in the upper 30s. Protect plants, pets and people on both sides of the lake.
